Hi Bobbie Jo and Earl, Just had to drop your a line to say a big ‘Thank You’ to you and all your
staff.

You were really busy in the shop on our last day of diving so we did not
really get the chance to thank you properly in person.

We had a great time completing our training with you and your staff.

Bobbie Jo please could you pass on our huge thanks to Isaac, he has a very
gentle and patient teaching ability.

With support and encouragement from Isaac we both completed our training in
an enjoyable non rushed manner. He is a credit to your dive shop.

Once we had qualified our dives the following week went really well, through
your extra training we both felt more confident and comfortable in the
water.

A quick mention of Kelley, she is an amazing, knowledgeable and extremely
confident person, the way she is able to take control of a boat load of
people in a firm but very polite manner is a credit to you and Earle. We
wish her every success in her future plans.

We had a fantastic holiday in Costa Rica and shall always have fond memories
of where we became ‘Real Divers.’

Hello Earl,Well we are back at home but I just wanted to take a few minutes to not only compliment you on your choice of employees but the great person you have as a daughter.Kelley, in all of our dealings with us proved professional, proficient and extremely competent.On land she answered our calls and always grasped what we were asking and made it easy to deal with Diving Safaris. She was able to accommodate our every request and made my qualification process easy.

On the boat she calmly took command of every situation in a manner not offensive to either clients or your other employees or providers of 3rd party services. She managed every situation, every body in a calm quiet manner that is far beyond her years. I was immediately put at ease because of her attitude and approach.

In the water, she made the certification process easy and non stressful. The 2nd dive was particularly rough because of high waves and strong currents. Although I am a competent swimmer in most instances these conditions made me realize just how powerful water conditions can be. She remain calm ,acted intelligently, and maintained a sense of humor while solving 5 problems at a time, all the while  being able to swim quickly to remedy situations that happened almost instantly.

Under the water her competence as an instructor quickly presented itself when she recognized that I was over exerted by the 25 minutes of surface exercises and with compassion and an innate common sense she was able to assist me while still testing the other diver finish her certificate. By that time I had had 5 minutes to relax, confident in Kelly’s ability to manage any situation. She was delighted that I continued and finish my certification and then with glee her playful nature came out as she gave us a memorable dive.

I have no hesitation recommending Kelly or Diving Safaris to anyone and if you need a reference please feel free to use my email address or testimony as you wish.

I wrote this letter to showcase Kelly’s professionalism but it would not be complete without also mentioning Isaac. He too dealt in a competent, intelligent manner. Dealing with masks that leaked, flippers that fell off. and establishing my weight requirements. I was delighted with his services as well…However Kelly had extreme weather conditions, my personal medication conditions and 2 people taking the course. KUDOS to the diving team of Diving safaris.

I just wanted to drop a note, once again saying thanks. Considering this was my son’s first dive since being certified (and my first dive in a while) we had a wonderful time and saw a lot while down. Your staff was very helpful, professional and friendly. I will post a positive review on Trip Advisor and will try and steer people your way. Thanks again for going out of your way and returning my sunglasses. Next time you’re at the Sports Bar have an Imperial and a wing for me. We had a great time and hated to leave….but I had to get back to pay the bills. I’m going to have to get a second job just to finance my kids butter cookie diet. I was hoping we didn’t get stopped at customs for smuggling out cookies.

Shawn and I had the pleasure of spending 5 days with Diving Safaris of Costa Rica, who we found and booked on-line. The service was excellent, and all staff were very friendly, helpful and attentive. They also made sure we covered a variety of dive sites during the week instead of constantly returning to the same locations. Catalina Island was also well worth the trip. Even though there was just Shawn and myself, they still accommodated us and took us there. I would highly recommend this trip. There were Devil Rays jumping out of the water as soon as we arrived!We had a mix-up with our hotel accommodation approximately one month prior to departure. If it had not been for the kind assistance from Dive Safari’s co-owner Bobbi-Jo, we would not have had anywhere to stay, as we were traveling during peak season. We were very lucky to have her help out.As for the diving, because of the plankton bloom, visibility was not as good as we had hoped it would be; however, on the other hand, because of all the plankton in the water, there was an amazing abundance of marine species…..even octopus on every single dive that we have never seen anywhere else before. Clouds and clouds of schooling fish, sting rays, guitarfish, lobsters, crabs, seahorses, nudibranches, manta rays, spotted rays…..the variety was amazing.If you are planning a trip to Costa Rica’s Playa Hermosa area, we would highly recommend diving with Diving Safaris. It is truly a unique adventure, and guaranteed not to disappoint.

Absolutely! We had a great time diving with your team. Pam & I have already been telling our friends about the trip and how well the diving portion went (since a lot of our friends are divers too). When anyone talks to me about diving in Costa Rica I will be pointing them your way. Thanks again for the equipment help, on the Catalina run. You run a great outfit; the competence and knowledge of your staff made for a safe and fun dive experience. As for our inland adventures, you were correct it was a beautiful drive to Arenal. We had a great 3 night stay at the volcano, which included some zipline and spa action. We also spent a day at the Tabacon hot springs , sublime. So, the trip was a complete success!

I totally recommend Diving Safaris in Playa Hermosa, Costa Rica, as the place to go for diving.  We went as a family and took our Open Water diving course, and it really was fantastic.  I had dived a number of times before with the Introduction to Diving types of courses, and this time committed to the full certification.  Earl & Bobbie Jo Gibbs (the owners) are wonderful people to work with, and all of the instructors were great with our entire family.  The dive boats are all really well laid out and equipped, and the dive sites they have nearby are amazing for the sea life and uniqueness each site has.  All in all, we really had a good time and would recommend Diving Safaris to anyone looking for a great time with great people.
