—About: Karie
Hey every one! My name is Karie, I’m originally from Colorado, USA, but I moved down to beautiful Costa Rica in 1996, after we bought the wonderful dive shop, Diving Safaris.
I was one of those eager “I cant wait to get into the water”, kids; excited to start exploring the underwater world through scuba, so naturally, I got certified the minute I turned 10. And now, going on 12 years later, I am a PADI Open Scuba Water Instructor with ambitions to become a Master Scuba Diver Trainer.
Growing up here was very interesting. I have definitely grown up to see both worlds.. I have learned a lot about life and responsibilities, as well. From a very young age, I have been learning how to work and run a dive shop, something that although is at times very frustrating (such as when the compressor dies), it is something I will never forget. I will always be thankful for all the life lessons I have learned living the diving life.
